Cultural Policy of Saint-Quentin

Cultural policy

A cultural policy adds invigorating colours to the community cultural life of Saint-Quentin. This policy was established in 2004, the year of the 400th anniversary of the French presence on Canadian soil, and completely renewed in 2018. A cultural committee supports the guiding principles and objectives of this new cultural direction.

Palais Centre-ville is equipped to host a variety of events, such as conventions, conferences, weddings, meals, special events, graduations, shows, exhibitions, workshops, congresses and assemblies. Their bar service is available in all rooms of the building to meet the needs of the guests. In addition, they have a stairlift and a freight elevator to facilitate access to their facilities. Wi-Fi connectivity is also available to ensure smooth communication during events. Finally, their kitchen is fully equipped to prepare and maintain meals at the desired temperature, thus providing a quality culinary experience for the guests.

Société culturelle des Hauts-Plateaux

The Société culturelle des Hauts-Plateaux is a regional non-profit organization. It organizes a program of activities in all possible artistic and cultural sectors. It broadcasts professional shows, giving particular priority to Acadian artists and those from the region. Its annual program is available under the Activities Calendar section of its website. It is a collaborating organization of the Sommet de la Chanson de Kedgwick, the Salon de l'artisan, etc.

The mission of the Société culturelle des Hauts-Plateaux is to aim for the enrichment and full cultural development of all French-speaking residents of the territory it serves. It promotes communication, the exchange of information, services, human and material resources, as well as the promotion of various artistic disciplines. It works in close collaboration with local artistic and cultural activity organizations. The Société culturelle des Hauts-Plateaux is a member of the Conseil Provincial des sociétés culturelles and the Réseau atlantique de diffusion des Arts et de la scène.
